TRECK SALKANTAY- Machu Picchu 5D / 4
Day 1: Cusco - Mollepata - Soraypampa
At 5:00 a.m. departure in our tourist transport to Mollepata located at 9.200 feet enjoying the beautiful views of colorful villages like Limatambo, passing the town of Tarawasi, also Apurimac valley.
Arriving at the village of Mollepata, we meet our horsemen and horses, we walk approximately 6 hours through traditional Andean communities like Cruzpata, Challacancha, heading towards Soraypampa (3800 masl), where we overnight.
Day 2: Soraypampa - Chaullay
After breakfast we will hike about 4 hours to start our ascent to 4650 m ( 12.500 feet) over from this point we will see the most amazing viewslike the snow capped peak Salkantay (18 .000 feet ) Then continue 3 hours hike up the mountain watching lakes like the Humantay, the Huayanay, and small lakes. After a long descent to the camp at 2950 meters ( 9.000 feet) Chaullay
Day 3: Chaullay - Playa Saguayaco
After breakfast walk down to the river, on the way we will enjoy a beautiful tropical jungle and we can watch the coffee trees, bananas and other fruits, including some beautiful orchids. Short stop for lunch at Lluscamayu where you can taste the passion fruit.
We continue trekking along the river Know as the beach to Then take rest and overnight.
Day 4: Playa - Santa Teresa - Aguas Calientes
Early in the morning after our lunch we will take a local bus to go to Santa Teresa where we can take advantage of its thermal baths Cocalmayo, then continue walking to Machu Picchu Hydroelectric. Where we will have lunch and then continue our trek to the village of Machu Picchu where we stay in a hostel with private restrooms and breakfast.
Optional if you want to take the train to enter the village of Machu Picchu instead of walking please Consult with our agency.
Day 5: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco
After having our breakfast in our hostel We will take the first bus up to Machu Picchu; visit one of the new wonders of the world, the tour usually takes 2-3 hours, after the guided tour you will have free time to visit and enjoy the sanctuary.
After a nice experience in Machu Picchu, we will go down to Aguas Calientes to take our train back to Cusco.

The horses only carry the camping equipment to 5 kilos of luggage for the journey if you want extra help to carry your luggage you can hire an extra horse in Cusco but It does not mean the horse go near you. Please bring a small backpack to carry the necessary things.
Any excess luggage can be stored in Cusco at the hotel .
